Aura Health Hub
SiSU Health Station in Full Swing at Aura.
Shadforth implemented a trial of a dedicated Health Station at the Aura Stockland Master Communities project, representing a key milestone in our ongoing commitment to employee wellbeing. This initiative underscores the importance of integrating health checks and wellness into the program's daily routines. We believe that by providing our people with the right tools, we can help them prioritise their health and maintain a balanced, proactive approach to their wellbeing.
The SiSU Health Station, now fully operational at the site, offers workers a quick and efficient way to monitor important health metrics, including blood pressure, heart rate, body mass index, and more - all in just a few minutes. This convenient service is available at specific times throughout the day, ensuring everyone has an opportunity to engage. Regular check-ins allow our team to stay on top of their health and help identify any potential issues early, fostering a culture of care and prevention.
Our commitment to wellbeing doesn't stop with health checks. We're going a step further by promoting healthier habits across the project. The site Smoko van has introduced a diverse range of nutritious food options, from fresh salads to protein-packed wraps, making it easier for workers to choose healthier alternatives to fuel their bodies with the right foods. We recognise that good nutrition is essential not just for physical health but for overall wellbeing, and we're excited to support our workers in making these healthier choices. Additionally, we've partnered with a nutritionist to visit the site and provide personalised meal plans for our team, focusing on simple nutritional principles that can help them maintain a balanced diet. On top of that, we've teamed up with World Gym Caloundra, which is offering free 7-day passes and discounted corporate rates for our workers. This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to jumpstart their fitness journey with convenient access to a local gym, right where they work. It's about creating real opportunities to support the health of our people and making it easy for them to take charge of their wellbeing.
We launched the Health Hub initiative during the same week as R U OK? Day, further emphasising the importance of mental health alongside physical wellbeing. Local Sunshine Coast identity, Ashley Robinson, visited the site to speak with the team about the critical link between looking after your physical health and mental wellbeing. His powerful message reinforced how both aspects feed into each other, driving home the importance of caring for oneself on all levels.
What truly sets this initiative apart, is the involvement of our teams’ families. We understand that health and wellbeing extend beyond the worksite, which is why we're fostering an inclusive environment where families can participate in the journey toward healthier lifestyles. By encouraging open conversations about health at home, we're helping to build habits that last a lifetime and creating a positive community spirit that benefits everyone.
With the SiSU Health Station, nutrition support, fitness opportunities, and mental health awareness all in place, this initiative is about much more than just a physical check; it's about empowering our people and their families to live healthier lives. Stay tuned as we continue to enhance this program and continue to make wellbeing a core part of our work culture..
