Shadforth is equipped with a fleet of over 650 Specialised heavy plant and equipment, and 450 light vehicles, standing among the top civil contractors in Australia and enabling us to handle projects of all scales and complexities.

We operate are expertly maintained and continuously modernised fleet, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency on every project. From dozers, excavators, and dump trucks to graders, loaders, and rollers, our capability allows us to self-perform critical works and adapt quickly to client needs. For our people, this means working with some of the most advanced equipment in the industry, while for our clients, it means agile delivery with precision and control.

Our Smarter Fleet

We invest in the latest plant and equipment, incorporating the newest designs and technologies. The majority of our fleet is fitted with advanced GPS systems, including Trimble Earthworks and Topcon machine control, giving our operators millimetre accuracy and enabling seamless integration with project models.

A dedicated field service crew of 25 specialists supports the fleet across multiple projects, ensuring equipment is highly maintained and ready to perform when needed. For operators, it means a smoother day’s work with fewer interruptions and reliable equipment at their fingertips.

We pair our investment in new equipment with ongoing training and development, ensuring our operators stay confident and capable as the fleet evolves. Working with well-maintained, modern machinery gives our teams a sense of pride and ownership in their work, empowering them to deliver high-quality results on every project.

Our Sustainable Fleet

As part of our continued commitment to sustainability and innovation, Shadforth has expanded its light vehicle fleet with the introduction of several hybrid models. We are also investing in low-emission heavy equipment, including hybrid excavators and Tier 4 engines with advanced after-treatment systems that significantly reduce exhaust emissions.

Our sites are increasingly powered by renewable energy solutions such as off-grid solar ‘super cells’ and hybrid generator units, reducing reliance on traditional fuel sources.

Together, these initiatives ensure our fleet remains efficient, resilient, and aligned with a more sustainable future for the industry.

Our Workshop

Our fully equipped workshop supports the maintenance and optimisation of our fleet, ensuring peak performance and reliability on every project. The workshop also serves as a training ground for our apprentices to gain practical hands-on experience, equipping them with the skills necessary to develop in their chosen field.

With a diverse team of in-house specialists, including heavy diesel fitters, auto electricians, boilermakers, welders, light vehicle mechanics, and paint shop trades, we carry out almost every repair on site. This capability reduces lead times, improves efficiency, and ensures our fleet is maintained to the highest standard without relying on external contractors.
