Turning Air Into Drinking Water

Reducing plastic waste while creating lasting community impact.

At Shadforth, sustainability is about more than reducing our environmental footprint. It's about delivering practical solutions that benefit both our operations and the communities we support. Across several of our projects, we've installed Aqua Ubique MG10 Business Buddy systems that generate drinking water directly from the air, reducing our reliance on single-use plastic water bottles.

The systems are currently operating across the following sites:

  • Boundary Road, Moreton Bay

  • Kinma Valley, Moreton Bay (2 units)

  • Beattie Road, Gold Coast

  • Regents Quarter, Moreton Bay

  • Aura, Sunshine Coast (2 units)

Beyond reducing plastic waste on site, each system contributes to Aqua Ubique's Drop4Drop program, which helps provide clean drinking water to communities in need. For every five commercial machines installed, one machine is donated to a community requiring safe drinking water.

Through this initiative, Shadforth's five Business Buddy systems have helped fund a machine for Cherbourg State School, providing around 200 students with reliable access to safe drinking water.

By adopting more sustainable solutions across our projects, we're reducing waste, improving operational efficiency and supporting meaningful social outcomes beyond our worksites.
