Solar Farms

Scope of Works

Shadforth have played a key role in supporting Queensland’s renewable energy transition, delivering civil works for some of the state’s largest solar farms. Our scope included bulk earthworks, road construction, stormwater drainage and equipment foundations, enabling the electrical and mechanical trades to come in and install the permanent infrastructure. By leveraging innovative trenching methods, optimised earthworks strategies, and locally sourced quarry materials, we helped deliver cost-effective and sustainable outcomes.

Challenges and Innovations

Working collaboratively with our clients, we implemented tailored earthworks strategies with fit-for-purpose machinery to combat challenging site conditions, including flood prone terrain, rocky material and unsuitable material.

Our ability to rapidly mobilise skilled teams during Covid-19 restrictions as well as machinery resources enabled us to meet accelerated project schedules while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
