QRA Landslip and Sealed Roads Damage Reconstruction
Scope of Works
Following severe rainfall and flooding across the Sunshine Coast, Shadforth partnered with Sunshine Coast Regional Council to deliver urgent landslip remediations and restore storm-damaged roads. Through complex geotechnical solutions, critical road infrastructure was restored and community access maintained.
Under the oversight of the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA), Shadforth undertook the restoration of 364 sealed roads as well as delivering urgent remediation works across nine landslip sites throughout the Sunshine Coast region.

Key challenges and delivery outcomes included:
Remediation works delivered across steep and constrained terrain, requiring innovative construction methodologies and stringent safety controls.
Environmental management maintained throughout the wet season, with robust erosion and sediment controls preventing environmental harm and compliance incidents.
Traffic and community access preserved through carefully staged works, despite narrow road widths and limited site access.
Concurrent delivery across multiple dispersed sites, enabling completion ahead of schedule and maximising access to external funding.
Comprehensive quality records maintained, allowing for streamlined approvals and timely funding release.
