LogistX Business Park

Scope of Works

The Logistix Industrial Subdivision spans approximately 3,680,963 m², representing one of the region’s significant industrial land releases. Designed to support large-scale warehousing, distribution, and logistics operations, the subdivision required extensive bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, and external upgrades.

Shadforth were initially engaged in November 2021 to complete the bulk earthworks phase. Following this successful delivery, Shadforth was awarded Stages 1 and 2, as well as the Externals civil works and Boulder Wall construction.

Following the success of the initial stages, Shadforth were engaged to commence stages 3 and 4 bulk earthworks in October 2024.

Our works included:

  • Earthworks and bulk filling

  • Roadwork construction and pavements

  • Retaining and boulder wall construction

  • Stormwater drainage

  • Sewer and water reticulation

  • Trunk infrastructure delivery

  • Road upgrades along Burnside Road and Quinns Hill East Road in preparation for the upcoming Coomera Connector project.

Challenges and Innovations

Delivering the civil works at LogistX Business Park required innovative solutions and careful project management, including:

  • Strategic material management, with clean fill reused on site and unsuitable material treated or repurposed to minimise waste.

  • Custom-designed stormwater solutions to integrate with both the new industrial infrastructure and the future Coomera Connector.

  • Upgrades to local roads and installation of trunk services to ensure the precinct was operator-ready.

Despite challenging soil and weather conditions, proactive staging, flexible programming, and strong project coordination helped Shadforth maintain momentum, enabling early completions and minimal disruption to local traffic and infrastructure users.
